Anthropic’s long-sidelined Fable 5 is greenlit to return

Anthropic has received approval from the Department of Commerce to lift export controls on its Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models, allowing the company to restore access to users globally. The restoration will begin tomorrow on Claude platforms, with access on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry to follow soon. This decision follows weeks of negotiations with the Trump administration.
